Mission Projects Past Mission Trips 2007 Spring Break took us to Biloxi, Mississippi, to work again on hurricane relief. A great amount of people needed to have their homes repaired and their lives rebuilt. Different group members who attended spent time working on roofs of houses, repairing kitchens, and connecting with other groups who traveled down to Biloxi for the same efforts. In 2005 we went to Philadelphia, with CSM (Center for Student Missions). Check out the CSM Philadelphia website here. In 2004 for our spring break trip we went to Jonesville, Virginia, to A.S.P. (Appalachia Service Project,) to help out the people in the Appalachian area. Seventeen people went there to serve the camp and local families. The projects that were worked on included a massive deconstruction project, a beautiful bathroom remodeling job (poopers and all), and a soffit and gutter project for a local family. For pictures from the trip click here. From 1998 - 2003 we went to Mountain T.O.P (Tennessee Outreach Project). Mountain T.O.P is a summer camp for youth of the area. Quite often, it’s the first time these children learn about God and Christianity. In the past we worked on an elementary school playground and brought it up to Tennessee’s safety codes. The children were very appreciative and it was a very rewarding experience to know that we helped them. Take a look at the Mountain TOP video. Note you need the Quicktime Plugin to view it.
